We make every effort to insure that our instructions are correct before they are printed but sometimes a feww errors slip by our reviews and model construction.  Please accept our apology for any inconvenience this has caused you.

 

BP 109, Sunflowers:

A few patterns went out with incorrect sizes for the petals templates.  To see If you purchased one of these patterns, please place one of the pattern pieces provided over the corresponding piece on the full-size layout pattern.  Remember to reverse the pattern piece template when placing over the corresponding piece on the layout pattern.  If the pattern piece does not fill the area on the layout pattern, please return your pattern to us for a free replacement plus a complimentary pattern of our choice.  We apologize for this inconvenience.

 

BP 501, Cajun Crossing:

Page 8, section 1 (a) Should read "Cut four 14" x 14" squares and cut twice on the diagonal for 16 setting triangles (you will have two extra setting triangles)."

Page 8, section 1 (b) should read "Cut two 7 1/4" x 7 1/4" squares and cut once on the diagonal for 4 corner square triangles."  We apologize for this inconvenience.

 

BP 509, Tulip Bed Runner:

Page 1, Cutting Instructions:  Cut the following:

  • From the background fabric cut (7) 8 ½” x 8 ½” squares for the alternate blocks; these should be cut the same size as the flower blocks

 

BP 510, Christmas Night:

Fabric Requirements: Should read 1 1/4 yds Star print on blue background for outer border

Page 2: Star Print on Blue Background for Outer Border: should read cut (6) 6 1/2" strips

BP 512, Stratford Crossing:

Page 1, Block 3 Cutting Instructions for the 6" Shoo Fly Block: From the 2 1/2" Fawn Jacobean Print, it should read, "sub-cut (4) 2 `/1" x 2 1/2" squares - NOT 16

 

BP 514, Mardi Gras Madness:

The first set of Cutting Instructions on page 2 should read:

From the 1 1/4" strips of Multi-Colored Fleur di Lis on Creamt:

Sub-cut (1) 1 1/4" x 5" rectangle

Sub-Cut (6) 1 1/4" x 5 3/4" rectangles

Sub-Cut (6) 1 1/4" x 4 1/4" rectangles

Page 1:

Fabric Requirements:

Under Queen Size, the 1 yard Red Check is only for the first and seventh borders

Border 1: lap size should read "From the red/green/gold/stripe, cut a 27" square and cut sufficient 2 1/2" bias strips to make 224" of continuous bias binding

Border 2:

From the Gold Mottle, cut (26) 1 1/2" strips

From 4 of these strips, cut (60, 68) 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" units

From the Green Mottle, cut (22) 1 1/2" strips; from 6 of these strips, cut (30,34) 1 1/2" x 6 1/2" units

Border 3: "cut (2) 1 1/2" x 42 1/2" should read "cut (2) 1 1/2" x 44 1/2"

Border 4: "cut (2) 3 1/2" x 44 1/2" should read "cut (2) 1 1/2" x 50 1/2"

Border 7: "cut (2) 1 1/2" x 62 1/2" should read "cut (2) 1 1/2" x 64 1/2"

Border 8: "From the Red Check..." Should read "From the Gold Mottle..."

Border 9:

From the Red/Gree/Gold Stripe, on the lengthwise grain, cut (2) 6 1/2" x 86 1/2" and (2) 6 1/2" x 68 1/2"

Page 2:

Making the Strip Sets and Constructing the Sections for the Greek Key Blocks:

From 4 of the 1 ½” gold strips, cut (60, 68) 1 ½” x 2 ½” rectangles; Sections 2 and 6 in the block diagram below.

  • From 6 of the 1 ½” green strips, cut (30, 34) 1 ½” x 6 ½” rectangles; Section 7 in the block diagram below.
  • Sew a 1 ½” gold strip to a 1 ½” green strip along the long side; make 5 sets.
    • Sub-cut (60, 68) 2 ½” x 3 ½” rectangles; Sections 1 and 3 in the block diagram below.
  • Sew a 1 ½” gold strip to a 1 ½” green strip along the long side; sew another 1 ½” gold strip to the green side; make 3 sets; set should measure 3 1/2” wide.
    • Sub-cut (30, 34) 3 ½” x 2 ½” sections; Section 4 in the block diagram below.
  • Sew a 1 ½” gold strip to a 1 ½” green strip; make 4 sets.
    • Sub-cut into (30, 34) 2 ½” x 4 ½” sections; Section 5 in the block diagram below.

Adding Borders to the Center Panel:

Lap Quilt: Third border (4.b.) should read "...1 1/2" x 44 1/2"

Queen Size: The following sections should read:

2nd Border: (2a.) "...sew 8 blocks together for each long side"

3rd Border: (4b) "Sew one of the 1 1/2" x 44 1/2" ..."

4th Border: (4b) "Sew one of the 3 1/2" x 50 1/2" ..."

7th Border: (8b) "Sew one of the 1 1/2" x 64 1/2" ..."

9th Border: (9b) "... sew one to each end of the (2) 6 1/2" x 68 1/2" red/green/gold stipe..."

BP 516, Stars and Stripes:

Page 1: BEFORE trimming your panel, make sure that the 41 1/2" will NOT cut off any of the stars; it should give you the scant 1/4" seam allowance necessary to sew the first border on without cutting off any of the stars. After trimming the panel to 41 1/2" , there probably will be NO red border showing at the top and bottom as on the pattern cover. *** SEE BELOW for instructions to make quilt with the red border showing at top and bottom of panel.

Page 1, Fabric Requirements;

2 FQs or 3/8 yd for straight binding

3/8 yd for bias binding

1 3/8 yd backing

40" x 58" batting

Page 1, Cutting Instructions:

From the Medium Blue FQ, sub-cut (2) 25" strips (not 25 1/2" strips)

For the Binding, from the striped fabric cut 9 strips  (straignt binding) 2 1/4" wide

Page 1, Adding the Inner Border:

Shoud read 1 1/4" x 41 1/2" and 1 1/4" x 25" strips - not 1 1/2" wide

Page 2 should read "..... sew a 4 1/2"  fireworks square to each end - not 3 1/2" square

 

*** To make quilt with the top and bottom red border on the panel, make the following changes:

1.  Trim ONLY selvage off top and bottom of panel

2.  Make 2 extra rail fence blocks; one for each long side of panel (a total of 13 per long side)

3.  Cut (2) 43 1/2" strips from the medium blue for each of the long sides of the panel; the width of the medium blue strips for the top and bottom will remain the same at 25"

 

BP 539, Freedom

Page 1, Fabric Requirements: Red/White/Blue Stars and Stripes (39374-49) should read 1 7/8 yards - NOT 1 yard

Page 2, From the Stars and Stripes, cut (2) 6 1/2" x 59 3/4" strips on the lengthwise grain and (2) 6 1/2" x 40" strips on the lengthwise grain; do NOT cut selvage to selvage as the stripes run along the selvage, not selvage to selvage
